We undertook a major home extension to an existing dwelling in the Samford area, working closely with the client throughout the entire course of the build. Not only were the client’s living in the existing house, but they operated their business from this dwelling during construction. Consequently the project programme accounted for both the living and business operations of our clients so as to be the least intrusive as possible
The extension was designed and built to facilitate the client’s need for stay at home assisted living. The build itself, on a sloping site, consisted of a mix of high end finishes and products as well as sourced and recycled timber re-purposed to achieve the desired eclectic finish. The desired finish the client’s sought, meant we employed traditional handmade jointing techniques with the exposed feature timber structure.
